College. It’s that time of the year. Seniors are deciding on where they want to go for the next four years. Not everyone plans on staying in-state for college, but most people don’t realize what they are leaving behind when they move to a whole other state.

You might want to reconsider leaving Connecticut when you realize you’ll be leaving behind Donut Delight, Garden Catering, Colony Grill, Planet Pizza, and Duchess.

Senior, what are you going to do when you realize you can’t get your morning Donut Delight right before school starts?  I mean you could go to Dunkin, but let’s be real… it’s not even half as good. Then again you could go to Starbucks, but how will you get your donuts then?

It’s a tough decision to make, when it seems like half the students at Stamford High live on morning Donut Delight.

Not only are you ditching Donut Delight but you will also be leaving Garden Catering. Now what are you going to Ubers Eats to school during lunch? Nevertheless, since you will be in college you can leave the campus to get food. Besides the point, where will you get your chicken?

Moving onto some of the history of Connecticut chains, Colony Grill. This is for all of my thin crust lovers, so if that’s not you… skip this part. If you leave CT you’ll be leaving behind the gods of thin crust pizzas. I don’t think you’ll ever be able to find thin crust pizza that tastes as good as Colony’s ever again.

Don’t even get me started on Duchess. Do you ever find hotdog places anywhere anymore? I don’t think so. Why would you want to leave behind a fast food place this good.

We’ve already mentioned one pizza place and now it’s time for the other. Planet pizza. I know that it’s not as good as Colony (well depending on what kind of person you are). However, it’s so iconic even if you don’t think it’s that great.

This is only a couple of the CT chains you’ll be leaving behind, so make sure you do your research before you decide to get out of Connecticut.
