It’s back! Stamford BOE votes to restore April break

Previously it was stated that both the Wednesday and Thursday of our spring breaks were going to be taken away in order to make up school days lost due to snow. Well, the Board of Education has changed their minds, and we now get our full spring break back!

Officially, the Board voted to waive the 181st day for students, and to make Monday, the 21st of April, which was formerly a staff development day, a full day of school.

This change in plans only adds more strength to the belief that our words do matter. According to Stamford Education Association President Michael Arcano, “several members spoke about the feedback they received from teachers and parents or guardians.  Your voice does carry.”
