Donut Wars

The war between the Stamford DD’s continue.

America may run on Dunkin, but Stamford surely does not seem like it. It’s always fascinating to see who has a Dunkin Donuts cup on their desk and who prefers Donut Delight. It is also interesting to see who has a bag of food from one coffee shop or the other. There are advantages and disadvantages to each. Personally, I think that Donut Delight is the best because their iced coffees are much tastier and richer in flavor. Their hot coffees are always brewed to perfection, and, to me, they are much more caffeinated. One of the whole points of coffee is to help you wake up and stay up, and after just one cup I always feel jittery, and I am good and focused for the school day. Dunkin Donuts coffee, on the other hand, is not strong and does not give me nearly as much energy. It’s too watered down and doesn’t have as much flavor as Donut Delight either.

Donut Delight wins the food contest as well. Dunkin Donuts bagels seem soggy and just do not meet the expectations of a quality breakfast. Donut Delight will always make your day with their food, and you’ll crave it all day long.

To its credit, Dunkin Donuts does have better iced tea than Donut Delight. It seems like they make a new batch of tea every time I get it. Donut Delight’s iced tea has a bit of a fake, bland taste. It’s just not the fresh brewed iced tea that people are looking for.

Based on the advantages of each place, Donut Delight is my winner. Despite its minor shortcomings, Donut Delight is never a disappointment. They can always make my day a whole lot better!
