The roles for Stamford High’s latest show, Moon Over Buffalo, are finally filled. Moon Over Buffalo is a hilarious comedy by Ken Ludwig, being directed by advisor Tommy DeSalvo. This 1950’s play is about an acting troupe that’s in repertory. The stars, George and Charlotte Hay, prepare their matinee for popular director Frank Capra, who wants star then in his new movie. Only thing is … they don’t have a clue what show they are going to prepare, and everything possible goes completely wrong!

Let’s take a look at the key roles the actors will be playing in:

  • George Hay: A very dramatic, over the top actor who wants to become famous, devoted to his wife, but also a ladies man. George will be played by Stamford High senior Will Hunt.
  • Charlotte Hay: Total drama queen, who alongside her over-the-top husband George, helps run the troupe. She still dreams of being a star, no matter what. Charlotte is being played by AITE senior Alex Brokowski.
  • Rosalind Hay: Daughter of George and Charlotte, who used to be in their acting troupe but left to get a real career. Rosalind will be played by Stamford High junior Erin Maher
  • Paul: Stamford high sophomore Bryce Drynan plays Paul, a stage member in George’s troupe who used to be with Rosalind when she was still there. He still loves her and wants to get her back. He’s the foundation that keeps the company together.
  • Ethel: Andrea Hunt sophomore at Stamford High will have the role of Ethel, Charlotte’s mother who loves her daughter dearly but simply does not like George. Also an actress who is very amusing, doesn’t let anyone walk all over her, and is very hard-headed!
  • Howard: Ali Nassef, a sophomore at AITE, plays Howard, Rosalinda’s fiancé. A nerdy, wimpy weather man, he comes off as annoying sometimes.
  • Eileen: Katelyn Cody, junior at Stamford High stars as Eileen, an aspiring actress who is anxious to please. She has a fling with George, wants to be the leading actress with the company, and will anything to get what she wants.
  • Richard – Brian Roman, senior at Stamford High stars as Richard, a lovesick lawyer who is courting Charlotte.

The actors seem very excited about the choice of show this year. “It is such a funny show; I am so excited for it. I hope everyone comes to see it,” said Katelyn Cody. Come out and see Moon Over Buffalo! The show will be running on November 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th.
