Columbia’s “Bottle Man”

On March 19th, Round Table staff attended the 101st Columbia Scholastic Press Association conference, where reporters Barbarah Mesamour and Owen Herz captured the legend Captain Bayonne. Captain Bayonne, whose real identity is Brian Rocheny, is known for his bottle flips in front of Columbia’s Low Steps.

Barbarah is beyond excited to serve as a multimedia editor for her second year with the Round Table for the 2024-2025 school year! In addition to the Round Table, she is President of the Red Cross club, the communications coordinator for the Stamford BFF club, and an active member of various organizations including Student Council and SNHS. Barbarah hopes to have a great year working closely with this year’s staff!

Owen Herz, Distractions Editor
Owen can’t wait to be the distractions editor for the 2024-2025 school year! This is his second year with the Round Table, and he can’t wait to make entertaining videos. Along with the Round Table, he is also an active member of the Debate Team, Friendly Faces, track, and Student Council. He has also been involved in scouting for 6 years and is on track to become an Eagle Scout. Owen is very excited to work with the Round Table staff to have a successful year!
