Reporters Michael Faherty and Eileen Rella ask people to pronounce Gaelic names that sound very different from what they appear to be. Happy St. Patricks Day! Edited by Michael Faherty.
Michael is beyond excited to continue his tenure at the Round Table for the 2024-2025 school year as an Editor-in-Chief! This past June, he was the Connecticut delegate to the 2024 Al Neuharth Free Spirit & Journalism conference in Washington, D.C., where he received a $1,000 scholarship. Aside from journalism, Michael is an Eagle Scout who serves as the Senior Class President, the Chapter Founder of the National English Honor Society, a Varsity Ski Team Captain, a Secretary of the Strawberry Hill Players, and the Chapter Treasurer of the National Honor Society. He is looking forward to co-leading a massive editorial staff in hopes of receiving a Gold Crown from the Scholastic Press Association at Columbia University!
Eileen is a senior at Stamford High and will be a multimedia editor during her second year with the Round Table. Other than being a student, Eileen is also an irish dancer at The Lynn Academy of Irish Dance and has attended various international competitions such as The World Championships. In her free time, she volunteers to teach little kids at her dance studio and help them improve. Eileen is looking forward to a great year at the Round Table!
