A Big Thanks…
June 17, 2022
To the Round Table staff, editors, and readers,
Words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am for our year together. When Selma and I started this year as co-editors-in-chiefs, I don’t think either of us realized how far The Round Table would go. Coming back from the past two years with so many unknowns and unexpected breaks, there were many questions about how we would return to full scale. The things we did though far exceeded my expectations and I am so proud of the progress we all have made. From starting “The Weekly Knightly News” and “La Voz de Sol,” returning to video production, to getting back to our radio show, the things we did this year were nowhere near easy. Still, the hard work paid off and I can confidently say that I have never seen The Round Table flourish as much as it did this year.
To all of our readers, thank you for the support you have given us throughout this year. Your views on our videos and reading our stories have kept us motivated and I am so glad that you all enjoyed our content.
To all of the staff writers, thank you for continuously bringing your creativity and ideas to the table. Without you guys, we wouldn’t have been able to provide the amount of content we did this year and without that, we wouldn’t have been nearly as successful.
To all of the editors, thank you for your never-ending commitment to The Round Table. Going into this year, I knew we had a good team on our hands and there was no moment that made me doubt that statement at all. So, a deep thank you to each and every one of you for making this year run so smoothly.
To my co-editor-in-chief, Selma, thank you for being my partner in crime this year. From bouncing ideas off of each other to doing our own stories (like the one that won us first place in a national journalism competition and a Knight of Excellence award, not to brag or anything) you have always been there to balance the workload that comes with running a whole newspaper. I couldn’t have done it without you and there’s no one else I would’ve rather had by my side through the process.
And last but certainly not least, to the one and only Mr. Ringel. I don’t think a “thank you” will do justice to showing how much I and the entire staff appreciate what you continually do for us. You always push us to be more and never shut down our ideas. You are a positive outlet for all of us and I could always count on you for advice. I am honored to have been able to be your student for the past three years and to call you my teacher of the year.
I am going to miss my time here with The Round Table greatly and I will never forget the memories we all have made together. I hope everyone on the staff and all of our readers feels the same and I wish nothing but the best of luck to all of you and to next year’s staff. With that, one last final thank you to everyone involved with The Round Table this year.
Claire Cody, 2021-2022 Editor-in-Chief
