Shayna’s Tasty Banana Bread! Midterm Stress Relief
January 14, 2019
Oh midterms. They are always there to sneak up on us when we least expect them and turn our week into a sleepless, stressful crash course study session. Needless to say, most of us are not the biggest fans of midterms. But there is hope! Although things may seem like they are out of your control, there are some easy ways to lighten your mental load and keep yourself calm and clear-minded for the week to come.
If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed I recommend trying this easy banana bread recipe. The baking process along with the promise of a wholesome study snack are guaranteed to help alleviate some stress!
This recipe originated from my grandmother who, ironically, is also a math tutor. I like to think that making her banana bread automatically gives me some extra brain power to solve difficult math problems! Whether this is true or not, this banana bread has a lovely crisp exterior and soft interior making it the perfect vessel for peanut butter, cream cheese, or whatever your heart desires. Its sweetness helps to give you an extra energy boost, while still filling you up so that you can conquer any math packet or english paper! Tip: It is really important to eat breakfast before going into your tests and a slice or two of this banana bread is a great option 😉
