The NBA MVP Award Winner: Stephen Curry
May 12, 2015
One small step for the Golden State Warriors; one giant step for Steph Curry.
Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is this year’s NBA Most Valuable player. Steph is known for his remarkable shot from behind the arc and killer ball handling. He won a tight race finishing in front of James Harden (Houston Rockets), Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers), and Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder).
The Warriors finished the season with 67 wins and 15 losses, earning the best record in the western conference. Curry averaged 23.8 points per game and shot .443% from behind the three-point line. He exceeded expectations on the court and came up huge whenever his team relied on him to do so. He and his fellow “splash brother” Klay Thompson led the Warriors to a one seed in the playoffs and a first round win. Golden State is a strong contender and they plan on riding their MVP to the finals.
