Round one of the 2014 playoffs came to an end Wednesday night.
With that came some incredible game seven finishes and record breaking losses.
The New York Rangers hosted the Philadelphia Flyers at MSG. Despite valiant efforts by the Flyers, they came up short as the final buzzer rang. The Rangers won 2-1.
Meanwhile at the Pepsi Center in Colorado, the Colorado Avalanche took on the Minnesota Wild all the way to overtime, and came out victorious with a 5-4 win.
History was being made in California as the San Jose Sharks, who just a few weeks ago held a 3-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Kings, gave up their lead by losing to the Kings 5-1. Never in the history of the NHL has a team lost a lead that big in a playoffs series.
Other teams that have already moved onto round two include:
• The Pittsburg Penguins
• The Montreal Canadians
• The Boston Bruins
• The Anaheim Ducks
• The Chicago Blackhawks

Round two starts tonight, Thursday May 1st, with the Boston Bruins taking on the Montreal Canadiens at 7:30pm
Tomorrow Friday May 2nd the Rangers play the Pittsburg Penguins at 7:00 p.m., and the Chicago Blackhawks vs. the Wild at 9:30pm.
Saturday May 3rd the Anaheim Ducks will play the Los Angeles Kings at 8:00pm.
