______”When I was little I used to collect lint. I was probably like five years old.”

______”I dated my current wife in high school, and broke up with her because the fifteen minute drive from my house in the Cove to her house in north Stamford was too far of a distance for me.”

______”Well, I mean, I rode my bicycle from Florida to Connecticut.” *shrugs shoulders*
______”When I was younger, I was able to do backflips the length of the football field.”
______”I played bass in a punk band named Impulse in high school.”
______”I used to iron the money I earned from my paper route.”
______”I burned down my house in eighth grade.”
______ “On my 22nd birthday, before I became a teacher, I planned a birthday party at my parents’ house. Through my friends, the word spread and eventually there were more people from Stamford High at my parents’ house than my actual friends.”
______”While helping out a fellow teacher fix his garage, I fell through his roof. I got stuck on beams and had to get helped down.”
______ “I had a job in high school where I was Chrissy the Talking Christmas Tree.”
______”My first day teaching, I fell down an entire flight of stairs and the only thing going through my mind was ‘Thank God I didn’t wear a skirt today’.”
______”I’ve gone swimming in the fountain in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.”
______ “In 8th grade, I won best musician.”
______ “I sing in a choir in a cultural group.”

______ “I went to seven schools by the time I was in 8th grade in four different states.”

______ “When I was twenty-five, I had a 17-year-old boss at a summer camp. I only did it so I could golf for free at Stanwich.”
______ “This happened in Gambia, West Africa. I was waiting for a taxi to go tutor a student when I was suddenly attacked by a middle-aged man. He threw a dirty blow to my face. Without thinking I started fighting him fiercely. We ended up at a police station and charged for fighting in the street. Soon after we learnt (myself and the police) that the man was a ‘madman’ who had escaped from a mental facility. The charge was dropped and I returned home with a broken finger.”
