Juniors: Time to Step it Up!

Nicole Lorusso, Staff Writer

Before we know it, it is our time. The second that we walk out of the building after the last final, we are officially seniors. In the blink of an eye, high school is basically already over. It is scary to think how fast high school flew by and how we’re already entering our last year of high school. We are now the highest rank in the school and it’s our year. It is sad to know that we only have one year left of showing our Black Knight spirit and attending all of the football games, as well as other sports. We only have one more prom, one more homecoming dance and one more time to enjoy high school. It’s important to make senior year the best that it can be and have fun.

Junior year was definitely the most stressful year of high school and meant the most. All of the SBAC testing, introductions to colleges, and SAT/ACT testing have officially come to an end. We have all worked to our best ability to prepare to have the best senior year. All the hard work has paid off and all we have to worry about is college. It’s a great feeling to know that the most stressful parts of high school are over. It is now time to start the college visits and think about where we want to spend the next four years after high school. College seems so far away, yet it’s so close. We are almost going to be independent and on our own in college, and the preparations will start this summer. Senior year is still going to be stressful, but we know that we are so close to the finish line. I already know that my last year of high school is going to be a good one.

The memories of freshman year are still fresh in my head, and it’s crazy to think that we only have one more year left of being a Black Knight at Stamford High School. However, once a Black Knight, always a Black Knight. We are not the young, scared little high school kids anymore; we are the oldest and all the students will look up to us. Freshman year was when we had it easy, and didn’t have to start thinking about our future yet. Now, it’s time to start thinking about what we’re going to major in and how our life will be after college. These last few days being a junior are bittersweet, and we still need to make the best of them. Let the senioritis begin!
