Qualifications to be a Super Teacher
May 21, 2015
Teachers are always the ones to grade students compared to what their “ideal student” is so I thought I’d give them a taste of their own medicine and do the same for them. Following are some things that make up the “ideal teacher:”
1.)Attentive: No one wants a teacher who doesn’t pay attention to them and doesn’t acknowledge their work. Some teachers simply sit back and completely ignore the students’ efforts, and it makes the students feel like their work is going unnoticed. It doesn’t give much incentive to work hard.
2.) Visuals: When a teacher actually puts time and effort into a visual presentation, it makes the students feel like they’re being taken seriously. Providing some visual presentations proves that the teachers themselves are interested and enjoy teaching.
3.) Communication: It’s great when a teacher actually talks through a lesson and shows the student they’re interested in teaching them. What kind of student would want a teacher to just give out a book and make the student read it? Students like being taught by the teacher in a more personable way because not only do they learn better but they’re actually motivated to do so.
4.) Fun: Teachers’ primary function is of course to teach, but teachers who take a minute out of teaching to throw in a little joke make us students enjoy the activity all the more.
