Earlier today, Stamford High School English teacher Danielle Watkins accepted a plea deal. Watkins could potentially face from as little as nine months up to four years in jail for second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

The plea agreement also calls for Watkins to be placed on the state’s Sex Offender Registry for 10 years.

Watkins, a Norwalk resident, will return to Superior Court in Stamford on January 22 to receive her sentencing. Her attorney, Rob Serafinowicz says he will try to argue for nine months imprisonment for his client.
