“Front Door Charlie” Arrested

Stamford High School security guard Charles Dixon was arrested Monday afternoon for allegedly spitting in the face of a cab driver after the cab driver had accidentally blocked Dixon into his parking spot.

After spitting in the drivers face, police said Dixon angrily told the driver, who was South Asian, to “go back to his country” and that he doesn’t “belong here.”

Police charged Dixon with threatening, breach of peace and third-degree assault. When police went to Dixon’s house to make the initial arrest, they also discovered a mini arsenal of legally owned weapons; Dixon is a registered gun owner.

The arsenal was made up of four swords, seven handguns, two shotguns, three Tasers, two switch blade knives and one club.

Dixon is known by many students at Stamford High School as “Front Door Charlie.” “Hearing this story took me completely by shock; Charlie was always the nicest guy, and the fact that he had all those weapons kind of scared me” said senior Ozzie Acuna.

Dixon was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court on November 10th.
