Daddy’s Home Proves to be a Great Comedy for Whole Family
January 25, 2016
Once in a while everyone feels like watching a good comedy movie. If you’re in that mood, you should go enjoy the movie Daddy’s Home, featuring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. It is surprising to see Wahlberg doing a comedy because he is known for his roles in action movies. With the surprising twist of him doing a comedy alongside Ferrell, Daddy’s Home turned out to be a great movie. Ferrell plays the role of Brad Whitaker who becomes the stepfather to Dusty Mayron’s (Wahlberg) children. In the beginning, Brad struggles with not being accepted into the family by the children. However, as time progresses, Brad grows a stronger relationship with the them. Just when he is starting to be happy and accepted, Brad is introduced to Dusty, the biological father.
Dusty enters the film within 20 minutes. What Brad thought would be an innocent visit to see his kids turns into a nightmare for him. Brad feared Dusty from first sight. Although Brad believed him to be a tough man and very frightening, Dusty turned out to be polite. However, Brad eventually learns that Dusty had other intentions than just visiting. Soon Brad and Dusty go head to head to be the favored one of the family. Through their competition they do insane things such as spending vast amounts of money.
I went in not sure of what I was actually going to watch. I ended up being very pleased with the movie at the end. It was very satisfactory and comical. It’s a great movie to watch with friends and family. The movie brought two great actors together for a unique kind of comedy that can bring a smile to just about anyone. I would give the movie a personal rating of 8/10 and would highly suggest it to anyone who enjoys a good comedy. The end of the movie has a great twist that will amuse everyone.
