The film Insidious 3, starring Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott and directed by Leigh Whannel, was a great thriller. The movie was released on June 5, 2015 and is showing in theaters now.

The movie begins when Quinn Brenner (Stefanie Scott) tries to contact her mother, who recently passed away from cancer. Little does she know that contacting the dead can be a very dangerous action. Once she goes to see a psychic, Elise, who warns her about the consequences, weird things begin to happen to her. Her father Sean Brenner (Dermot Mulroney) is noticing the entity attacking his daughter and seeks help from the psychic. They come to find that there is a powerful demon feeding on Quinn’s soul.

This film was very good, but also predictable in some parts. Every time something scary was about to happen the audience was prepared and knew what was about to pop up onto the screen. The actors did a great job. Scott was very good at showing the fear that the character was experiencing. She did a great job showing that she was slowly getting worse and worse from what the demon was doing to her. Brenner really pulled off his role as a single father who struggled to take care of two children. Once his daughter started to experience issues from the demon, he began to worry and get very concerned in what’s going on. He did a great job at acting as a worried and caring father.

If you are into scary movies with things popping out at you a lot I recommend this movie. Even though I was expecting something scary to happen, I still wasn’t prepared for what I saw and nearly jumped out of my seat. Since I enjoy scary movies it was definitely worth the watch.
