“Guardians of the Galaxy” is the best film of the summer

What happens when you combine a bunch of space misfits? You get James Gunn’s comic book adaptation “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the number one movie of the summer. This movie will have you laughing while on the edge of your seat.  Chris Pratt gives a very enjoyable performance as Starlord; he’s perfect for the part.  Starlord teams up with Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a cold blooded character who is very complex and mysterious, and Drax (Dave Batista). The character of Drax is not as in depth as Starlord’s, and adds humor, yet also brings a serious aspect to the film. Groot (Vin Diesel), is a character of very few words, but the character itself is simple yet hilarious to watch, and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) is the comedic aspect to the film which makes it most enjoyable. They team up to stop the tyrant Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) from overthrowing the galaxy against almost impossible odds. Will they succeed? Well stop reading this and go watch the movie to find out.

The cinematography of the film is amazing and makes the film pop out at you, coupled with special effects and scenery that will make you believe it is real. The camera angles give you a clear view of what the characters see and a layout of the whole landscape. The film’s adaptation was on point, as it closely followed the comic book plotline with very minor changes to the story that did not affect the overall film. The film basically allows you to visualize the comics as if they were moving in real life.

The movie’s soundtrack features classic 1970s songs, plus a score by composer Tyler Bates. The “Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol. 1” is a collection of 12 songs featuring Blue Swede’s “Hooked on a Feeling,” “I’m Not in Love” by 10cc, Redbone’s “Come and Get Your Love,” and The Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb,” along with many more. The film is remarkable in every aspect, and if you don’t believe me, go watch it for yourself.
