SPOILER ALERT! – What is like in space? Everyone at least once in their lives asks themselves this question. And the writer of “Gravity,” Alfonso Cuarón, might have thought about that himself. “Gravity,” a 2013 3D science fiction thriller and space drama film, was released on October 4, 2013. It was co-written, co-produced, co-edited and directed by Alfonso Cuarón, who also directed “Children of Men” and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” It is a story of survival of two astronauts (George Clooney and Sandra Bullock) who stuck in space and attempt to return to Earth.
This movie fascinated me from the beginning to the end. Every aspect of space is shown through beautiful pictures and adventurous scenes. These details allow the audience to feel every intense moment of the movie. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney play the lead roles in the film. Sandra Bullock plays a very hard role, as she is the person who is stuck in space and tries her hardest to survive and return to Earth. She does a great job in expressing her feelings and fears through facial expressions, and does a fantastic in the movie.
Clooney, on the other hand, is Sandra Bullock’s savior, and he sacrifices himself for her. He also plays his role very well, although Bullock’s acting is better, and Clooney’s character doesn’t do much in the film. Bullock’s character makes the movie touching, exciting and extraordinary.
The soundtrack consists of just the radio sounds and classical music, which I thought were very to the point. They brought tension and balance to the movie. Every second of the movie brought the audience something new and unexpected; it always held me in suspense. Although the movie had some scientific inaccuracies, the director of the movie did confirm that some liberties were necessary to sustain the story. In spite of the inaccuracies and mistakes, the movie overall was thrilling and breathtaking to watch in 3D.
