The latest addition to the popular series came out November 6. The game has its three standard game modes: campaign, zombies and multiplayer. However, in this game, they have added a twist to the campaign of the game. Nightmare being the alternative version of the main story, but with the gimmick of zombies being the main antagonist. Another installment that’s been added is a Free Run mode, which is, in essence, a parkour mode. It’s possible to run on walls, jump over obstacles and move tactically. Multiplayer has had its play style updated to fit the new maneuvers currently possible.

Unlike any of the other CODs, you get to make your own character and customize it as the story progresses. The weapons are very balanced compared to the most recent games. Black Ops 3 definitely has a better grasp of the futuristic idea in comparison to other games attempting similar ideas. The multiplayer allows for custom matches to play with friends rather than the players online. As far as the campaign goes it’s user-friendly and explains the situation. Unlike its predecessors, it is possible to create a character and customize it. The story gives a great explanation on the usage of new equipment in-game and how they are advantageous in certain scenarios. The prologue of the story starts off slow but kicks right into the action quickly, to the enjoyment of those playing it.

However, toward the middle of the story it makes the antagonist unknown of and is rather vague on whom the enemy is, but toward the end, they start to reveal more information as to the real enemy. In the end, of the campaign, it answers a lot of questions the player may have had during their play through. The overall of the story wasn’t perfect, but it would definitely go down as a great story to play through. If you’re uncertain on playing it, Treyarch, the developers of this COD, have left the chance for you to play through the campaign with three of your other friends. So if you want to play with friends you have the ability to and it can be very enjoyable with friends. Nightmare is basically just the campaign remade with zombies and is nothing special to it. Zombies are one of Treyarch’s more favorite game modes to play in from their games. It provides a new map with the concept of surviving multiple waves of zombies and sometimes special zombies. In their newest installment of zombies, Treyarch has added their newest map, Shadows of Evil. Unlike the other zombie maps they have made, this one gives a whole new idea what they worked on.

They have added the ability to turn into a creature for a short period of time which allows you to add power to things that don’t have power, open doors, break crates and grapple to reach areas your character normally wouldn’t be able to. In previous versions of zombies, every five rounds there would be a round dedicated to killing a special strain of zombie, usually being zombie dogs. However, in this version of zombies they provide a form of zombie wasps. At a later round, approximately three rounds later, a large monster with three heads would spawn to kill. Afterward, a couple rounds later, they spawn spherical monsters that explode on impact. Unlike the other zombies, this shows to be more difficult as it provides more focus on killing rather than just the zombies. Overall the game is very enjoyable and is great to play with friends. Zombies are fun to play with friends. The campaign is good to play alone or  fun with friends. Multiplayer was standard for me and something just not that fun to play. The game is great to play with friends and even by yourself, and can easily satisfy most and can keep you entertained for a while.
