RPM Raceway Opens in Stamford

Arianna Torres, Staff Writer

On April 27 a new spot for people to hang out opened in Stamford. RPM Raceway, 600 West Ave, is hidden down a few
turns near Donut Delight. They have Go Karts, an arcade, bowling and a virtual reality simulator. The bowling and virtual reality simulator have yet to open, and a few of the arcade games aren’t working yet, but they are open now so people can come in for go-karting.
Walking in, the facility looks huge, and you can look down below to see the go kart tracks. They have an option to
get a $55 membership – per race it’s $20 with the membership and $30 without. You can even see the soon to come bowling alley in the back of the arcade. The bowling alley and virtual reality simulator are set to open sometime in May, which is when they
also plan on having an official grand opening with the mayor cutting a ribbon. My prediction is that once everything opens, RPM Raqceway is going to be super busy, and if you just want to do some go-karting before the grand opening rush, I’d go now. On opening night,
my mom and I went in to check it out and the next day we went with my brother and his friend. My mom ended up getting a membership for my brother and he actually went go-karting, which is something he’s never done.
I think this place is really cool; I’d definitely go again, and I’m glad Stamford is finally opening up fun places
for teenagers to go to that don’t close at 10 p.m. If you like arcades, bowling and go-karting in one spot, and would like to spend a day here with friends or as a date, I’d highly suggest coming to RPM Raceway.
