Have you ever taken the time to admire your fingers? Well, if you haven’t, then you probably have no idea how amazing fingers truly are.

Ancient Greeks were known to have associated each finger with a specific meaning or concept. According to Tom Durbin, a man who studies Palmistry (the art/practice of interpreting a person’s character or predicting their future through their hands), the qualities of your individual fingers (and their Greek names) are as follows:

1. Index Finger: Jupiter  – Self-confidence, ambition, leadership, executive ability
2. Middle Finger: Saturn – Sense of right and wrong, the law, search for truth, self-analysis, secrecy
3. Ring Finger: Apollo – Creativity
4. Pinkie Finger: Mercury – Communication
5. Thumb- Only finger not named after a Greek God. Represents the quality of will, both personal and universal
